Course testing intensive seminar at Rovuma University

A three-day intensive course testing seminar was held at Rovuma University (UR) in Nampula from April 9 to 11, 2025. The seminar brought together more than 100 participants, including students and faculty from Rovuma University, teachers from ISPS, Academia Militar, and A Politecnica, people from public institutions and other organizations working in energy field (EDM, FUNAE, SPI-DE, SDEJI-Nampula, and IICN). Professors from Aalto University and the Hellenic Open University delivered lectures covering modules from two newly developed courses intended for partner institutions.

Topics ranged from photometry, light source technology, and lighting design principles to energy efficiency, sustainability, and modern teaching strategies for lighting education. The program also featured hands-on training sessions, including practical demonstrations using a smart lighting kit and lighting simulations with the Relux software. To support continuous improvement, participants were invited to complete a feedback questionnaire aimed at refining course content and teaching methodology.
